Intro … Today we conclude our ‘Easter Walk’ as we accompany Mary Madalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome to the very tomb where Jesus’ body was laid late Friday afternoon. They will be the ones whose discovery of Jesus’ resurrection we will focus our attention upon this morning for they are the ones whose discovery Mark was inspired to record. And we will limit ourselves to verses 1-8 of chapter 16 – the passage that the vast majority of Biblical Scholars consider to be the true conclusion to this action-packed Gospel.
